Hamas Ready for Ceasefire in Gaza
Hamas is prepared for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip if a ceasefire proposal is presented and on the condition that it is respected by Israel, stated a member of its political bureau, Basem Naim. He urged the Trump administration to exert pressure on the Israeli government to halt the aggression in Gaza.
Hamas has informed the mediators that it is in favor of any proposal that would lead to a permanent ceasefire and military withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, allowing the return of displaced persons, a serious agreement for a prisoner exchange, humanitarian aid entry, and reconstruction, added Naim.
